Cooking
The classic position of the kitchen here is to ‘drive’ the pavilions…into the viewpoint and out to sea. Its intention was to be like a ‘surf life saver’ tower with viewpoints across the beach and bay.

The inspiration for the steel island bench came from a ship wreck on the road to a local town Moruya.

An old hulk sits tidally in the river, rusting away its skin and exposing the ribs of its construction.

The materials are steel, brass and concrete... longing for patina over a lifetime as a kitchen should be.
